Sukhumbhand woos voters with a populist policy
Democrat Party's Bangkok governor candidate Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra on Wednesday vowed to implement the populist policy "Bt1 million one community" if he won the gubernatorial election on January 11.
He said he aimed to carry out the project in communities throughout the capital so that the people can use the fund for community development under their own initiatives such as solving environment problems like water pollution.
According to surveys, Sukhumbhand is having a neck-to-neck race with his relative Outspoken TV personality ML Natthakorn Devakula, an independent candidate who has come out strongly against the People's Alliance for Democracy. He had urged the
PAD's opponents to vote for him.
