FT to be revised up in January

The Energy Regulatory Commission yesterday revealed that it is prepared to raise the fuel tariff (FT) for the January-April period.

Chairman Direk Lawansiri said gas price, which lags behind oil prices for six months, is still going up. And the FT would be definitedly jagged up, but the commission would try its best to defer some of the additional burden to the subsequent rounds.

The new FT should be known mid-January, he said.
