SECC stops importing cars since 2007



SEC Auto Sales and Services Plc (SECC) has never imported any cars since 2007, according to Customs Department.

 

This countered the news report that the company imported 476 cars and they disappeared from the department's bonded warehouses.

The last import was on November 22, 2006.

SECC stocks' trading were suspended since December 4 as investigation on the company's business. 

 The department said that during 2003 and 2006, SECC imported a total number of 768 cars with a combined Bt483.52 million. Especially, the year of 2005 and 2006, there were 77 and 94 imported cars respectively
