
The company said in the statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the shutdown is due to the recent drop in global stainless steel demand and the fact
that the company has adequate quantity of finished products to serve and respond to the
demand of the market.
It also said that the shutdown would pave way for some prevention maintenance work on the plant and machinery after having been continuously in production for long time in the past.
Earlier, the plant's workers launched a protest against the company's change in welfare benefits.
