BAAC aims to cut lending rate by 25 bps

Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives is prepared to cut lending rate by 25 basis points, to encourage loan repayments as farmers are due to pay loans upto Bt200 billion during January and March.

The bank's board would consider the proposal on Dec 30, said executive vice president Ennoo Suesuwan.

He also believed that farmers' repayment ability should improve thanks to the government's pledging programmes.
