KSC provides total it solutions for the Royal Trophy 2009


The first golf championship in Thailand to go online throughout the golf course


KSC Commercial Internet has been appointed Official Internet and Business Solutions Provider for The Royal Trophy 2009 which will take place on January 9 to 11, 2009 at the exclusive Amata Spring Country Club.

The services provided by KSC include wireless hi-speed Internet availability throughout the golf course and the entire Amata Spring Country Club venue ˇV a first for any golf championship in Thailand; special services for the live broadcasts which will have a reach of millions of households throughout the world including Japan, Korea, China, India, the Middle East and Europe; voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP), security surveillance and multiple other critical communication services.

ˇ§The Royal Trophy 2009 is a much anticipated golf competition, with top golfers from Europe and Asia competing for the honour of gaining stewardship of the Royal Trophy, which was graciously donated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.  It is a unique and thrilling competition that, like the Ryder Cup, features foursomes, four-ball and singles matches.  The concept of the Royal Trophy originated from the legendary five-time Major winner Seve Ballesteros; the Principal Award for the competition is the beautiful and majestic sixteen-kilogram solid-silver Royal Trophy; we expect to see the fans enjoy the fantastic early January weather; the matches will be played in a prestigious golf course in perfect conditions; and the matches will produce golf of the highest technical and competitive standard,ˇ¨ said Lincoln Venancio, the Championshipˇ¦s managing director.

ˇ§There are some great additions and improvements for the staging of the third edition of the Royal Trophy.  In specific, our partnership with KSC has enabled the Royal Trophy to be staged at the highest and most advanced level in terms of IT systems and services provided for the golf fans, the media, officials, team captains and players.  It is the first time that services of this level are being made available at a golf championship in Thailand ˇV and possibly in all of Asia.ˇ¨

KSC will also set up booths at the event venue to provide information and advice about its range of services.  Special souvenirs will be given to the three people with the highest volume of Internet use at the Amata Spring Country Club every day during the competition.
