Noppawan, the current world No 1 in the junior world rankings, was the most consistent player on the girls' circuit, capturing four singles and two doubles titles during the year.
Noppawan, or "Nok", 17, holds an overall 39-12 win-loss record for the year in singles, and 31-11 in doubles. She and Taiwan's Tsung-Hua Yang, who won the award in the boys' category, were the first Asian players to be named junior world champs.
"It's a great honour to receive this award. I finally become the world junior No 1 and my next goal is to do well on the WTA next year,'' said the teenager who hails from Chiang Mai.
