Men to spend less on cosmetics

The cosmetics for men market is likely to grow only 3.5 per cent in 2009, with the combined market value of Bt1.56 billion, due mainly to the economic slowdown which will reduce spending on luxury items.

Kasikorn Research Centre noted that male consumers consider only on facial cleansing and deodorant as necessary items.

In 2008, the market value is expected to be Bt1.51 billion, which grows only 4.2 per cent from the previous year when the annualised growth rate was 5.1 per cent.
