Four gold traders join futures market

Four gold traders - YLG Bulliion & Futures Co Ltd, TC Ausiris Futures Co Ltd, MTS Gold Futures Co Ltd and Hua Seng Heng Gold Futures Co Ltd - have shown interest in trading gold futures on Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX).

All are major traders with long track records. This should lead the futures trading to a success, said Kesara Manchusree, TFEX 's managing Director.

Other gold traders are welcomed to obtain membership until mid-2009.

TFEX plans to start the gold futures trading on February 2.
