
Korn, a candidate to become the finance minister in the Democrat-led government, said that he has discussed with outgoing finance minister Suchart Thadathamrongvej and would meet him again after the transition.
"The public can rest assured that we will do what benefits all. We won't be discriminatory," he said.

On Tuesday, World Bank's representatives sought a meeting with Korn, to discuss the financial assistance to several projects in Thailand as well as the bank's readiness in additional funding in stimulating the economy. Korn said he asked the World Bank to proposed concepts on how to provide finances to grass-roots people.
He noted that the World Bank realises Thailand's financial strength but worries on the economic expansion due to problems in the export sector and slowing domestic consumption.
