Tisco buys out Primus Leasing

Tisco Financial Group, the parent company of Tisco Bank, has taken over Primus Leasing Co Ltd - the local leasing arm of Ford Credit International.

Primus extends leasing loans to Ford, Mazda and Volvo car buyers in Thailand with assets of Bt8.5 billion. Primus now has 26,600 clients.

According to Tisco, this will expand the company's leasing business.

The memorandum of understanding was signed on Dec 12 and the acquisition is pending for approval from the Bank of Thailand. Tisco will get involved with the management from February onwards.
