Lumpini police arrested an Indian man yesterday for allegedly forcing 13 Uzbekistani women into prostitution.
Police arrested Dalhjit Singh, 30, after receiving com¬plaints from a 16yearold vicitm who escaped from a room at Grace Hotel near Soi Sukhumvit 3. The unnamed girl said Singh hired her and 12 women from Uzbekistan to work as maids, but later forced them into prostitution.
Police said they are also after an Indian woman identified as Norshushuk, whom the victims accused of being Singh's accomplice.
