Content roll-out for 3G iphone

True Music, True Sport and hit clip provider Thai Top Load are available now for free downloads by any iPhone 3G users, regardless of their cellular service.

All iPhone 3G gear in Thailand are carried-in devices.

A company source said the offer would prep customers for the imminent launch of the much-hyped 3G iPhone.

"We want our subscribers to see we already have 3G applications," the source said.

True Move had intended to launch the gear this year but changed the plan due to the rotten economic mood.

True Move had been in talks with Apple for more than three months about becoming the authorised cellular service provider for the iPhone 3G. The agreement was signed last month.

The handsets will be used for the company's planned 3G network on its 800MHz spectrum.

The iPhone 3G supports third-generation mobile service on three bands - 850MHz, 1900MHz and 2.1GHz - and also wireless Internet service.

True Move is a subsidiary of True Corp, which has built a reputation for its convergence towards telecom, Internet and content services.
