Open for the past ten years to bring back to busy Bangkokians the hazier, lazier days of tea in the garden,good music and conversation and a time to muse, the annual Tamnak Prathom Afternoon Tea is held this year from Wednesday, December 10 daily up to Sunday December 14.

This year, besides the typical English afternoon tea and scones, guests will be able to sample the best in home made Thai snacks and sweets, not so easily available in these times of high technology.

On the menu would be home made delicacies such as sago and 'pan sip' made to 'al dente'  perfection. Traditional with these savoury snacks will be the trio of the three golden sweets, thong yip, thong yod and foi thong .Made with pure egg yolks, the secret of their delicate flavour and authenticity  is in using free range duck eggs that are ordered and sent from farms daily.

As always, there would be a programme of music daily as follows:

Wednesday, Dec. 10: Solo Harp recital by Louise Wiggins, harpist from the Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre

Thursday, Dec. 11: Peema Plays (his favourite music) From the Harp, featuring Peema Sukontarangsri playing on his celtic harp.

Friday,Dec 12: A Little Afternoon Music by "An Unusual Ensemble of Assorted Instrumentalists"

Saturday, Dec 13: the Tamnak Prathom Youth Harp Ensemble presents "Children's Hour"

Sunday, Dec 14: Music by the "Srinarong Quartet:Arch Rivals of the Vie Trio"

Door opens for house tour at 1 p.m. and concert begins at 5 p.m. Entrance is free except for Saturday when tickets are at 350 baht including the Tamnak Prathom Thai Snacks Tea. All proceeds will go towards the HH Princess Sudasiri Sobha Fund for the Thai Red Cross.
