Reports had said the party planned to choose Prapan Khunmee, a senator who sides with the People's Alliance for Democracy, as his deputy.
Sukhumbhand did not answer if the report was true or not.
He said when he selected someone for his team he would consider the person's honesty.
Sukhumbhand - accompanied by former governor Apirak Kosayodhin and former deputy governor Wallop Suwandee - visited the Children's Discovery Museum, JJ Mall and Chatuchak Weekend Market to meet and greet the people.
ML Nattakorn Devakula, another candidate, went to the Bon Marche Market in the Prachachuen area to ask residents about their problems so he could fine-tune his policies.
He said he found that voters want authorities to deal with scattered garbage and the shortage of public buses.
Nattakorn, who is running on an independent ticket, said he would try to limit his campaign budget to Bt10 million.
