His Majesty the King's condition improved and his fever subsided yesterday, the Royal Household Bureau announced in its second statement on the monarch's illness.

The King still had a mild cough, although his temperature was lower than the previous reading on Friday.

Xray examination results found no infection in his lungs while his heart functioned normally, according to the statement.

No traces of Influenza A or B were found in his body. Other tests were conducted yesterday to determine if there were traces of other viruses.

His Majesty could take more liquid food yesterday, so his doctors reduced the amounts of intravenous glucose and saline solution, the statement said.
