Weng, Dr Sant Hattirat and Prateep Ungsomtham Hata accused 12 PAD leaders of committing terrorism from November 25 to December 3. They named Sondhi Limthongkul, Somkiat Pongpaiboon, Pipop Thongchai, Suriyasai Katasila, Panthep Puapongpan, Samran Rodpet, Sirichai Maingarm, Sawit Kaewwan, Saranyoo Wongkrachang and Maleerat Kaewka.
Weng said the 12 had committed a serious crime in breach of Article 135/1 (2) for causing grave damage to the public transport system and infrastructure, causing unrest and terror among the public.
Asked why he filed the complaint now and not before, Weng said the government had taken action by issuing an emergency decree, but it had not worked.
He said although the PAD has moved out from both airports, it must not be allowed to escape the law as the country would never be in peace if law enforcement failed.
Sant said he had already filed the complaint with the United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, through Thailand, to warn other countries of the events and to prevent the situation from repeating elsewhere,
Meanwhile the PAD yesterday celebrated its last day camping out at the two airports, but threatened to come back if either Chalerm Yoobamrung or Mingkwan Sangsuwan were appointed as the new prime minister.
The PAD, at Don Mueang since Tuesday last week, sang and danced the night away celebrating the disbanding of the three ruling parties. All protesters had left Don Mueang Airport by 10 am yesterday.
At Suvarnabhumi Airport, PAD members danced to a band playing live country music on a makeshift stage-truck. Many expressed their feelings and shared experiences from over the 193 days they had camped out. They said they were sad to be parting now, but vowed to come back if another Thaksin Shinawatra nominee returned to power.
