PIMEX 2008 goes on with large number of direct flights from many destinations.

Sunseeker, Gulf Craft and Chris Craft are among Luxury motor yachts afloat in 2008.

December 2, 2008 - PIMEX 2008 will take place from December 4 to 7 at the new Royal Phuket Marina exhibition and Conference Centre.

Fully supported by The Tourism Authority of Thailand, The Sports Authority of Thailand and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

Despite problems of traveling in and out of Bangkok over the last week Phuket enjoys a large number of direct flights from many destinations. Read the TCEB statement here .

The show is at this moment under construction and some of the exhibitors have already arrived to prepare their display.

Companies exhibiting: 88

Luxury motor yachts afloat in 2008 include Sunseeker; Gulf Craft, Chris Craft, Formula, Princess, Riviera, Pershing, Maritimo, Crownline, Cranchi, Sunnav, Horizon, Posillipo, Rodman, Tiara, Mustang, Bondway, X2K, Sea Ray, Seatboat, and Silkline International. Three of the yachts are over 60 feet long. For sailing enthusiasts Jeanneau, Bavaria Yachts, Elan , Corsair and Hanse will be represented as well as a number of catamarans. A new development in 2008 is the emergence of new brands from mainland China some of which are exhibiting this year. And of course the electronics, all the outboard engines and inflatable RIBS and other accessories and equipment that go with the marine lifestyle will be on show.

Several top of the line property and residential marina projects are also exhibiting.

Kayak displays, music on the boardwalk and fun activities make this the perfect day out for the family. Sail training for kids and adults, Yacht charter, and Regattas.

Whether interested in boating or simply curious about how Phuket has become one of the most sought after luxury destinations in the world, visiting Royal Phuket Marina and PIMEX is a must during the 4th to 7th December. 10am to 6pm.

Notes on getting to Phuket

Phuket is not experiencing any demonstrations or difficulties in traveling around the island or through the airport.

Some changes may be made to daily timings and we will target the Kings Cup traffic on Sunday rather than Thursday.

Most overseas exhibitors and visitors are routing though Singapore, Hong Kong or KL and are unaffected.

At present no exhibitors have notified us of not being able to reach Phuket.
