Cabinet to meet in Chiang Mai

The special Cabinet meeting would be held on Thursday 1 pm at Chiang Mai Provincial Hall, Government Spokesman Nattawut Saikua said.

The first lot of five Cabinet members took a van from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and arrived in the morning. Some caught C-130 plane from the Royal Air Force Base's airport at Don Mueang at 10 am. However some missed the flight because of the heavy traffic on Phaholyothin Road.

A group of People's Alliance for Democracy walked from Don Mueang Airport in attempt to block the ministers from getting on the plane but they were stopped by military officals guarding the entrance of the base.
