Civil Court orders protesters to leave Suvarnabhumi Airport immediately

The Civil Court Wednesday night issued an injunction, ordering the People's Alliance for Democracy and its supporters to leave the Suvarnabhumi International Airport immediately.

The court ruled in favour of the AOT Plc, which filed a suit earlier in the day to seek an urgent injunction against the protesters.

The suit filed at the Civil Court at 5 pm named Chamlong Srimuang and 12 other PAD leaders defendants.

The suit staged that the defendants led protesters to seize the airport t 4 pm Tuesday disrupting its services and stranding passengers as well as damaging properties.

But observers believe the injunction would not change the situation as the PAD once ignored the Civil Court's injunction asking it to stop blocking roads near the Government House.
