
8.35am: The Crown Prince arrives at the cremation site in Sanam Luang.
8.40am: He gives robes to six monks to make merit for the late Princess.
8.46am: The Prince sprinkles consecrated water over the royal relics and ashes before placing the relics in the diamondencrusted |lacquered, gilded royal urn.
(The Princess's ashes were kept in another bigger golden urn.)
8.50am: Officials take the urn containing the relics from the royal crematorium to the Royal MeritMaking Pavilion, where its placed over a portable throne.
The Crown Prince then gives food and encyclopaedias to monks to make merit for the late Princess.
After merit making, both urns containing the royal relics and ashes are transferred to the Phra Tinang Rachen Torayan palanquin and the Phra Wosiwikakan palanquin, respectively.
10.09am: HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn joins a 822-member procession taking back the relics to the Grand Palace's Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall, while the ashes are moved to place at Phra Sri Rattana Chedi inside the Emerald Buddha temple.
10.41am: The urn of relics is placed inside the hall and the ashes are placed inside the chedi.
