Prasong Vinaiphat, assistant secretary-general of the securities watchdog, said that the public offering filing should win the SEC board's at the Nov 21 meeting.
"There is no reason to reject the filing. Thai Bev has so far been screened by the Singapore Exchange. Thus, when the company is seeking a listing in the Thai bourse, the SEC is just screening and updating its financial statements and business prospects," Prasong said.
The network of anti-alcohol campaigners earlier threatened to mobilise about 1,000 supporters in front of the Stock Exchange of Thailand's building on Nov 21, if the filing was approved.
