Prem's aide rejects "political foes" speculations

Vice Admiral Pajun Tamprateep, head of the Office of the Statesman Foundation on Tuesday dismissed speculations that Privy Council chief General Prem Tinsulanonda was one of the "political enemies" former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra threatened to expose.

"Ban Si Sao has nothing do with it. We do not pay attention to what Thaksin said,'' he said.

Pajun said Thaksin could do whatever he want and it remained to be seen whom who refer to. He said Gen Prem was aware of the report but he did not make any comment.

Thaksin, whose British visa was revoked last week, has threatened to spell out the names of all his political foes during the phone-in interview with Reuters on Monday.

Thaksin said he would phone in to the "Truth Today" programme again to talk to the people who love and have faith in him. "I will make a longer speech and start naming names, because they have pushed me into a corner," he said.

Meanwhile Opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said Thaksin's arrogant stance to reveal the name of his political foes showed his true colour. "He makes it crystal clear to us finally that every thing is all about himself and he does not care how the country is going to suffer,'' he said.
