Thai Oil Plc posted a consolidated net loss of Bt5.8 billion in the third quarter, despite the Bt47 billion increase in sale revenue to Bt110.6 billion. A sharp oil price plunge however reduced the inventory value by Bt7.6 billion.

Dubai oil price stood at US$96 a barrel at the end of the third quarter, from $128 in the second quarter.

In the first nine months, the consolidated sale revenue rose Bt134 billion on year to Bt333.9 billion. However, its consolidated net profit was Bt8.6 billion, down Bt7 billion or 45 per cent from Bt15.6 billion in the corresponding period.
