A young couple moved into a new apartment. Every time when they sat for breakfast, the young lady looked out of the window and complained about their neighbour's laundry hanging outside.
The young lady said, "May be she does not know how to wash it correctly, she needs a better detergent, or someone needs to show her how to wash."
Her husband remained silent while the young lady kept on complaining.
After a month passed by, one day, the young lady was surprised to see the cleanly washed clothes of her neighbour. "Come, honey, come. Now, they know how to wash," she told her husband.
Her hubby, who usually sat silently, told the young lady gently: "My dear, I've just cleaned our window this morning."
How does this story apply to normal life?
One group of people simply makes comments from what they observe without any thought organisation.
The other group reacts differently. They take it slowly, step by step; seeing precise situations, controlling emotions and thoughts, exploring and considering reasons, and making conclusions.
It is the series of thoughts that makes human beings different from robots or computers.
Robots will act in whatever way they are programmed. Likewise, the set of instructions in the computers makes them perform any particular task. Information analysis, decision-making, and strategy are a product of its program. Both, robots and computers, do not have feelings or responsibility.
These are the attributes of a human being. People of different types take in information in many ways. They process those inputs. The inputs can generate various points of view. The diverse points of views are contemplated as persuasive, neutral, and biased.
Looking at certain circumstances in different ways is going to become more and more important, including for an impartial assessment.
The woman ignores to seek options for her viewpoints. She has only a one-sided view, overlooking other factors, and firmly believes that the predetermined idea is an accurate fact.
Before giving any criticism, it might be a good idea to check your state of mind and ask yourselves if you are ready to be the judge before looking for something in the person you are about to judge.
The husband's actions show there ought to be alternative points of view. He sees others with the neutrality of his thoughts, and believes that the information will never be claimed to be biased.
Pay attention to the degree of persuasion, neutrality, and bias of information in order to achieve purity of results.
I see you clearer today than I saw you yesterday.
