Prem can help solve political rift: PM
Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat on Thursday voiced optimism that the political rift might get resolved if Privy Council president Prem Tinsulanonda agrees to mediate.
Somchai refused, however, to reply to a direct question on whether he would approach Prem to act as mediator.
He said he wanted to focus on addressing the people's grievances instead of devoting his attention to playing politics.
He was reacting to a petition endorsed by 90 People Power Party MPs on Wednesday calling for Prem's intervention.
