Coalition's green light for charter rewrite

Chart Thai Party deputy leader Somsak Prissanananthakul on Wednesday confirmed that the coalition alliance would surge forward the charter rewrite.

The motion to amend the charter's Article 291 to pave way for the formation of the Constitution Drafting Assembly will likely become the House agenda by November 20, Somsak said.

He claimed that the majority of the people agreed with the push for political reform.
