Now I want to know how I, as a Thai citizen, can bring lese majeste charges against this convicted criminal? Can some legal entity advise me how I can make this happen?
We have had enough of his continuous betrayal. The Thaksin supporters still adore and worship this felon because they haven't properly analysed or understood the extent of his betrayal.
You, as the "voice" of the people, also must take some responsibility for this adulation. You must relegate this criminal to obscurity.

Respect due comes from respect given
Thaksin Shinawatra's phone-in speech to a crowd of supporters at Rajamangala Stadium on Saturday could be counted as one of his best orations, had he not missed the point by calling for justice without showing respect for the law of the land-which is applicable to everyone.
Half the people in this country wanted to know why Thaksin jumped bail and fled the country before the verdict on the Ratchadapisek land case against him was given out. Why did he run if he was sure of his innocence? Or, even if he realised the mistake he had made, why did he not show responsibility by accepting the verdict? A show of respect for the law from a person of Thaksin's status is a must if he wants respect for himself. A popular leader cannot be a coward at the same time.

If he's innocent, he has nothing to be afraid of
In his live phone call to supporters at Rajamangala Stadium, Thaksin appealed to those already blindly committed to him; others should easily see through his lack of logic.
He says he wants to return home. Well, then, come, so we won't have to seek extradition! It was he who jumped bail. He's living a life far more luxurious than those of his supporters in Isaan, so why feel sorry for him?
He seeks "royal kindness", presumably a pardon. But since he vehemently continues to protest his innocence, what's there to pardon? Confess, serve part of your jail term, then we'll talk about time off for good behaviour. Or does Thaksin expect HM the King to declare jumping bail, tax evasion, and corruption to be no longer crimes?
Similarly, he says that if not royal kindness, "only the power of the people can get me home". Again, how can Parliament pardon him of crimes he says he didn't commit?
He says, "The political system is marred with injustice. Law enforcement is futile. The government is helpless." That's true, for I recall 2,500 extra-judicial killings during his anti-drug war, the disappearance/murder of lawyer Somchai Neelaipaijit, the excess force used at Krue Se, and the manslaughter of 78 persons at Tak Bai - all under Thaksin's watch, and all culprits have gone unpunished.
Come home, sir, and be our judiciary's guest.

'Poll Watch' letter glorifies PAD extremists
Re: "An Open Letter from the Open Forum for Democracy Foundation (Poll Watch)", Letters, November 4.
This letter's purpose is to irrationally glorify the PAD and blindly attack Thaksin, inciting hatred between the two sides. The sad part is that the letter came from the Open Forum for Democracy Foundation (Poll Watch), an organisation I have admired and respected.
