Institutional investors keen on TUF bonds



Thai Union Frozen Products Plc is elated, as institutional investors have shown immense interest in subscribing to its two-year bonds worth Bt1.5 billion.

The company decided to sound out demand before the offering of the first series, while working on the offering of the second series with five-year maturity. At the coupon rate of 4.7 per cent, the bond's return is 1.21 percentage points above the government's bond yield of equivalent maturity. - The Nation

SC project unaffected

Despite the domestic political and economy uncertainties, SC Asset Corporation Plc, the property arm of the Shinawatra family, will press ahead with its Bt400 million Grand Bangkok Boulevard Kaset-Navamindra project to boost sales this last quarter.

Kree Dejchai, executive vice president for low-rise property development, said yesterday that this project has already drawn pre-sales of more than Bt100 million so the company is confident that can close project sales early next year.

Grand Bangkok Boulevard Kaset-Navamindra offers three-story single-family homes for Bt17 million to Bt30 million per unit. The project targets high-end customers, who fantasise "The Most Prestigious Living" of a modern luxurious home. - The Nation.

New GM for lifestyle 

Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd has appointed Istvan Kuti as consumer lifestyle general manager to oversee consumer electronics and domestic appliance and personal care product groups. He succeeded Somchai Tawonrungroaj last Saturday.

Kuti has valuable experience in sales and marketing, which will help facilitate business development for both Philips consumer electronics products and domestic appliance and personal care products to serve consumer lifestyles and demand in Thailand. - The Nation
