23 join Thailand Privilege Card's ER programme

Twenty three employees of Thailand Privilege Card Co Ltd, the operator of Thailand Elite Card, have joined the early retirement programmes, which would require total compensation of Bt15 million.

The company originally planned to shed only 10 employees, having set aside only Bt9 million for the programme.

Surapong Triumchanchail, chairman and acting president, said that the programme would save the company's expenses by Bt20 million a year.

The company is also in the quest for the new president. A selection committee has been established, chaired by Tourism and Sports Permanent Secretary Sasitara Pichaicharnarong. Surapong said that applications will be shortly welcomed and the company would definitely have the new president early next year.
