IRPC expands ABS/ASN capacity

IRPC Plc is investing US$70 million to expand its ABS/ASN plastic pellet production capacity, to cope with rising demand for the products in the electronic and automobile industries.

Thisadee Watanangkul, director of the expansion project of Thai ABS Co Ltd - a unit of IRPC, said the project will add capacity by 100,000 tonnes per annum, from 120,000. The project, pending for environmental impact assessment, is expected to commence operations in October 2010.
