Korat developers downbeat

Nakhon Ratchasima developers expect a 20-per-cent drop in sales at the upcoming Home Fair, due to economic problems and intensifying competition in the province.

Krit Hirankit, president of the provincial housing developers association, said that in the past three years developers had sold houses worth at least Bt200 million per annum at the event. He also expects the gloomy outlook to continue over the next few years, as more supply comes onto the market.

Krit added that if the government could lower the property-transaction fee, it would help the labour-intensive industry. - The Nation
