Minister Santi Prompat said yesterday after meeting Finance Minister Suchart Thadathamrongvech on the framework for credit lines for mega-investment projects that the Light Green Line comes under the seven-year, Bt1.3 trillion project finance plan.
The Public Debt Management Office would help secure both domestic and overseas loans to finance the Transport Ministry's projects from 2009-2015, he said.
The mega-projects that need funding are the Bt965.4-billion mass-transit train network from 2008-2015, the Bt48-billion inter-city motorway linking Bang Pa-in, Saraburi to Nakhon Ratchasima, and the Bt37-billion provincial sealed road project covering 7,200 kilometres.
The five mass-transit projects are the Purple Line's Bang Sue-Bang Yai section, the Dark Green Line connecting Mo Chit-Saphan Mai, the Light Green Line's Baring-Samut Prakan section, the Red Line's Bang Sue-Taling Chan and Bang Sue-Rangsit sections, and the Blue Line's Hua Lumphong-Bang Khae and Bang Sue-Tha Phra sections.
