Would a Democrat-led govt stand up for democracy?

The similarity between Thai and US politics is that the voice of the ordinary people is drowned out by the cacophony of the propaganda machine. But the major difference between us is that in the US, once people cast their ballots, the voice of the majority, well, the electoral college majority, is accepted as the will of the people. In the US, the voice of even the most bigoted, most backward and uneducated person does count.
