Deadline for charter rewrite reduced from 240 days to 120 days

The government agreed on Tuesday to cut down the timetable for charter rewrite to 120 days from 240 days as previously planned, Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Pataraprasit said.

The new timetable was endorsed by Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat after consulting with Chart Thai Party deputy leader Somsak Prissanananthakul.

The revised deadline will advance forward the House dissolution to pave way for the snap election to overcome the political turmoil.
