NCCC suspects Yongyuth of concealing shares

The National Counter Corruption Commission yesterday found cause to suspect Yongyuth Tiyapairat guilty of concealing shares in his financial statement to the NCCC when he was environment and natural resources minister.

The NCCC said an investigation found that Yongyuth had not sold 24,500 shares in the Niti Foods Products to his brother-in-law for Bt2.45 million and had not lent Bt1.6 million to the same person, as declared in his financial statement.

The NCCC decided to indict Yongyuth in the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Office. If the court finds Yongyut guilty, he would be banned from politics for five years. This would be on top of his five-year ban due to electoral fraud.
