PM delegates work for four deputies

Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat has delegated responsibilities among four deputy prime ministers, government spokesman Natthawut Saikua said on Thursday.



Sompong Amornwiwat is the senior-most deputy prime minister, followed by Chaovarat Chanveerakul, Olarn Chaipravat and Sanan Kachornprasart.

Sompong will supervise Foreign Affairs, Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Information and Communications Technology, Energy and Justice ministries. He is the overseer of the Royal Institute.

Chaovarat will supervise Social Development and Human Security, Education and Public Health ministries.

He is to oversee government's Public Relations Department and Public Sector Development Commission.

Olarn will take charge of economic affairs and supervise Finance, Commerce, Labour and Industry ministries.

Sanan will supervise Tourism and Sports, Agriculture, Culture and Science ministries. He is to overseer theConsumer's Protection Board.

PM's Office Minister Sukhumpong Ngonkham is in charge of the Permanent Secretary Office for the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretariat, the Council of State and the Public Sector Development Commission.

PM's Office Minister Supon Fongngam is in charge of the government's Public Relations Department, the Consumer's Protection Board and the Mass Communication Organisation of Thailand.
