
However, he said, the FDA would only reveal the names of the contaminated products after the results were reconfirmed.
"Every powdered-milk and milk-based product from China needs to be tested again and again," he said, adding that the names would be revealed immediately after the contamination is reconfirmed.
Results of the tests on Dutch Mill's 100 tonnes of powdered milk sitting at the Samut Prakan port will also be released soon, he said.
Pipat added that he had ordered all provincial public health offices to monitor the import of powdered milk products from China, after it was reported that there were about 9,000 tonnes of powdered milk from China sitting at the Chiang Saen border checkpoint over the past few months.
He said that though the imports were meant to be used in animal food, he was afraid it would make its way into products meant for human consumption.
