Opposition offers policy suggestions

Oppostion Leader and Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva yesterday linked the failed Samak Sundaravej regime to the current government, saying much of the former's policies and many of its Cabinet members had simply been carried over.

Abhisit said there were only two new policies, tackling floods and the US economic crisis. He demanded the government explain why it was sticking with policies that had fomented political strife and said the opposition could offer some suggestions on new ones.
