Premier visits Samak in hospital

Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat visited former premier Samak Sundaravej yesterday in Bumrungrad Hospital, where the latter was admitted on Thursday with food poisoning. Samak has asked the hospital to ensure his privacy.



Somchai spent 25 minutes with Samak and later told the media that his initial worry had been allayed as he had found Samak smiling and expecting soon to be discharged.

"We didn't talk much: he needs rest, Somchai said.
