Air Force helicopter crash-lands on Phu Kradueng

An Air Force helicopter crash-landed on Phu Kradueng mountain in Loei yesterday morning, injuring two mechanics.

Six officers on board, including the pilot and co-pilot, escaped injury.

The helicopter from a base in Lop Buri was delivering supplies to a military telecom station on the height when it lost control, Air Force deputy spokesman Group-Captain Monthol Satchukorn said. He said an investigation had yet to determine the cause of the accident, but weather conditions were initially suspected.

He said the pilot and co-pilot were experienced and the 40-year-old helicopter could safely carry 12 people.
