Arrest of Chamlong will heighten tensions : Anand
Former Prime Minister Anand Panyarachun said arrest of Chamlong Srimuang will heighten political tension in the country.
Anand, however, declined to speculate what will happen next.
Police arrested Chamlong, one of nine People's Alliance for Democracy who faced arrest warrants, after he exercised his vote in the Bangkok governor election in Dusit district.
Chamlong is the second PAD leader, after Chaiwat Sinsuwong, who was arrested on charges of treasons.
