JBIC Bangkok to be called Japan Finance Corporation

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)'s representative office in Bangkok will be transformed to Japan Finance Corporation (JFC) Bangkok Office, following the bank's realignment that will commence on October 1.

In the context of recent Japanese administrative reform, the international financial operations (IFOs) of present JBIC will be taken over by Japan Finance Corporation (JFC) while the overseas economic cooperation operation (OECOs) will be succeeded by the new Japan International Cooperation Agency (new JICA).

For the office in Bangkok, "JBIC" name will remain in use to represent the organisation. In addition, Japanese Government Bank for the Small and Medium Enterprise, which will also be merged with JFC will situate its SME operation with our representative office in Bangkok.
