Nephew of community radio host arrested

Saichon Srithan, 39, who also worked at the station and functioned as Chinawat's bodyguard, was apprehended in a rented room in Bang Kho Laem district. Chinawat, the 56-year-old leading member of pro-government demonstrators, sustained a gunshot wound to his stomach. Chinawat was being treated at Paolo Memorial Hospital and was reported to be out of danger. Saichon reportedly confessed to police that he had been angry because he had had a loud argument with a technician and Chinawat had come down to scold and fire him.
