NMG launches motoring guidebook

Nation Multimedia Group yesterday joined with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion, Canon Marketing (Thailand) and Kasikornbank in launching the 240-page "Drive Thailand" guidebook in response to the growing popularity of leisure road trips.

The Thai-language book is colourful and handy, with some of the most comprehensive tourist maps covering the latest highways and roads. The maps are correct, clear and helpful for navigators in finding their destinations.

The book provides recommendations and tips for safe driving such as trip planning, preparation for the occupants and car, care of children and pets as well as tips and techniques on driving in all conditions.

It introduces interesting trips in each region featuring natural tourist attractions, historical sites, arts and culture as well as lifestyles of traditional communities.

It also provides essential information such as telephone numbers and locations for petrol stations, hospitals, police stations, banks, hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, OTOP outlets and Tourist Information Service Centres.

"Drive Thailand" is available at Se-Ed Bookstores nationwide for Bt295. The English version is due out next month in the same format and at the same price.
