Bangkok - Fuji Xerox Printers, the world leader in printing technologies and innovation, today debut the Phaser 5550, an A3 high volume monochrome printer with speeds of up to 50 pages per minute (ppm). This printing powerhouse is targeted at organizations with large workgroups or departments that print primarily in monochrome, such as the accounting, logistics and/or general administration departments.

"Monochrome printing is still the staple for large organizations and these groups of users treasure fast print speeds and quality printouts for day to day tasks. As a replacement model for the Phaser 5500, the latest Phaser 5550 boasts notable improvements over the older model. The three main enhancements are improved user experience, security and functionality. These include SSL/HTTPS support, SMTP authentication, smart duplexing, direct PDF printing and Citrix support.

"The Phaser 5550 answers the needs of our customers looking for an A3 monochrome printer that presents maximum value for their organization. Backed by Fuji Xerox's proven reliability, it has the lowest cost per page in the category which adds up to represent a lower total cost of ownership," said Rangsan.

With a robust duty cycle of 300,000 pages per month, the Phaser 5550 boasts features such as 1200 x 1200 dpi print resolution using Fuji Xerox's proprietary EA-HG toner technology to deliver exceptional print quality. It has a powerful 500MHz processor to handle complex print jobs and a first-page-out time as fast as 6.5 seconds.

For organizations that print various collaterals, the Phaser 5550 also offers custom media sizes and advanced printing features such as collation, booklet-making and edge-to-edge printing. It also has Gigabit Ethernet support for faster networking speed.

 

The Fuji Xerox Printers Phaser 5550 is retailing at Bt149,800 (include VAT) and is available in the market through authorized retailers now.
