
Pongpanu Svetarundra, director of the office, said the amount represented a reduction of Bt45.6 billion from the previous month.
"Lower government borrowing attributed mainly to the monthly reduction in public debts in July, as direct borrowing declined Bt31.1 billion month on month," Pongpanu said.
Of total, foreign debts accounted for Bt377 billion or 11.34 per cent while domestic borrowing is Bt2.95 trillion or 88.66 per cent. Nearly all, 96.31 per cent is long-term loans.
