
- Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) is rolling out its Marathon Savings account until the end of the month. The account, which has a minimum deposit of Bt200,000, offers interest of 2.754 per cent per annum.
- Siam City Bank has put more than 2,000 nonper¬forming assets (NPAs) worth Bt2.5 billion on sale at the fourth "National Resale Home Expo" at Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. Discounts of up to 35 per cent are available, and those buying two NPAs receive an additional 5 per cent. The expo started yesterday and ends on Sunday.
- Bangkok Bank is offering discounts of up to 30 per cent for its 88 NPAs available at the "National Resale Home Expo". Buyers also get an interestrate cut of 0.25 per cent for the fixed period and another 0.75 per cent for the float¬ingrate period. The bank now provides three options for its mortgageloan borrowers. The first is a fixed 3 per cent for the first year and minimum lending rate (MLR) minus 0.75 per cent for the remaining term. The second is a fixed 5 per cent for the first two years and MLR minus 0.75 per cent for the remaining period. The third is MLR minus 1.25 per cent for the first three years and MLR minus 0.75 per cent for the remaining term.
- Kasikornbank is offering a valueadded tax refund service for those claiming through an electronic system. Interested operators can apply for the service at the Revenue Department.
- Thanachart Asset Management is launching its new TFIX 2 fixedincome fund until next Monday. The sixmonthmaturity fund invests in highquality local govern¬ment and corporate bonds, deposits and securities or assets approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The minimum purchase is Bt5,000.
- Tisco Asset Management is rolling out its Tisco Oil Link Fund, a foreigninvestment fund that invests in the structure notes underlying Brent crudeoil prices in terms of Australian dollars. Investors can gain regardless of whether the oil price moves up or down, but the price must move in a range of 30 per cent higher or lower than the price on the first day of the fund's investment. The fund's initial public offering runs until next Friday, with a mini¬mum purchase of Bt20,000.
- Krung Thai Asset Management is offering its KT3M50 and KTFIF6M18 funds until next Tuesday. KT3M50, with threemonth maturity, invests in principleprotection debt instruments, including local government bonds, promissory notes and negotiable certificate deposits issued by credit fonciers and commercial banks. The fund is expected to offer a return of 3.7 per cent per annum. KTFIF6M18, with sixmonth maturity, invests in euro¬commercial paper issued by financial institutions. The fund is expected to yield 4.24.3 per cent per annum.
Asset Plus Fund Management is offering free 1 and 4gigabyte flash drives for those buying unit trusts of its longterm equity and retirement mutual funds at Bt50,000 and Bt100,000, respectively. Those investing Bt200,000, Bt300,000, Bt400,000 and Bt600,000 receive a Samsung Bluetooth mobile phone, a Samsung 1GB MP3 U3 player, a Samsung C450 mobile phone and a Samsung E250 Slide mobile phone, respectively.
