PAD rally "being sabotaged"

The People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) on Thursday claimed a plan by it opponents to sabotage the PAD rally was underway as it found 16 fireworks on a suspect disguised by carrying fake PAD guard-ID cards.





Somsak Kosaisuk, a PAD leader showed four sets of two inches long firework filled with dynamite powder to reporters at Government House.



He said the PAD questioned the man who possessed the firework and carried faked PAD guard ID card. The unidentified man said he would light the firework when the Democratic Alliance against Dictatorship protesters come to harass the PAD. The man was photographed and recorded before being released.

Somsak said the PAD guards had earlier found 24 knives and five gallons of gasoline among the PAD protesters.
