Thai shares down on bad news

The Stock Exchange of Thailand Index on Thursday lost 8.74 points or 1.33 per cent on the lack of good news to boost the investment sentiment.

Turnover was as thin as Bt9.2 billion.

It was reported that disqualified prime minister Samak Sundaravej accepts the invitation to return to office.

An exchange's survey on CEOs of 162 listed companies showed that most of the CEOs are concerned with Samak's decision. They said the Samak Government II would last no more than 3 months, as it would lead to prolonged political crisis.
